Size Charts

Our size charts are available in both inches and centimeters and include measuring instructions. If you are unsure about size, please take your measurements. Doing so will greatly reduce the guesswork - and the need to return something that doesn't fit! If you have any questions regarding fit, sizes or taking your measurements, please call us at: US: 1-800-587-1541 Canada: 1-800-400-5845.

Cuffing and Hemming

We will be pleased to cuff or hem your trousers and pants free of charge (when it is approved as a part of your program). Please keep in mind these guidelines:

  • If you do not specify a cuffing or hemming length, your pants will be delivered unfinished.
  • Please allow 1-2 days additional processing time for hemming and cuffing.
  • Remember to allow an extra 1/2 inch (1,5 cm) for shrinkage in 100% cotton items.
  • Some jeans and corduroy trousers can be hemmed but not cuffed.
  • As indicated in the charts below, the maximum inseam for cuffed pants is 2 inches less than the maximum for straight hemmed ("uncuffed") pants. This is because creating a cuff requires 2 inches of fabric.

Yellow lines on a women’s model showing where to measure height, hips, inseam and waist.

How to Measure

Waist - Measure around your natural waist (bend sideways – the crease is it). Recommendation: keep one finger between the tape and your body.

Hips - Stand with your heels together, and measure around the fullest part of your hips, keeping the tape parallel to the floor.

Inseam - Stand with feet shoulder-width apart & straight legs. Hold tip of tape measure between legs where the seams of pants come together & look straight ahead. Measure to the floor to the nearest ½”. If you wear a shoe with a higher heel make the following adjustments:

  • 2" Heel, add 1/2" to inseam length
  • 3" Heel, add 1" to inseam length
  • Or select a pair of your best-fitting pants of a similar material. Lay the pants flat and measure from the center of the crotch to the bottom of one leg. Make a note of the measurement to use when ordering new pants.

Height - Stand in stocking feet with your feet slightly apart and your back to a wall. Measure from the floor to the top of your head.

Regular, Petite, Tall or 16W - 34W?

Regular - 5'4" - 5'7" tall, with hips slightly larger than bust.

Petite - 4'11" - 5'3" tall, proportioned smaller, scaled down in shoulder width and sleeve length.

Tall - 5'8" - 6'0" tall, accommodates long body torso and sleeve lengths.

16W-34W - 5'4" - 5'7" tall, proportioned to flatter full-figured women. Compared to our size 16, size 16W is 2" larger in the bust, 2 1⁄2" larger in the waist, and 1 1⁄2" larger in the hip.
